The Gimpo Gorillas were defeated, 2-1, by the Busan Whales at Pusan Field, even though Ramiro Rivera pitched well for Gimpo. The winner in relief was Marcos López. He is now 3-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. Júlio Garza locked down his 8th save.
Busan took the lead, 2-1, on Luis Herrera's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Gimpo pitcher Ramiro Rivera in the bottom of the seventh.
"Tough loss," said Gimpo manager Luis Mora. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
With the victory, the Whales record stands at 26-21.
