Gorillas Fall Short, 2-1, at Muju
|
Muju took on Gimpo in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Louis Notenboom, in particular, was fantastic. The Muju right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. Toki Takahashi closed the door for Muju, picking up his 3rd save of the year. With the victory, the Naturalists upped their record to 23-19.
Chang-geun Kim took Gimpo hurler Gilbert Mersch deep in the bottom of the seventh. His solo home run put the Naturalists on top, 2-1. In all, Kim had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 2.
"Louis can overpower you," said Muju manager Nori Yamamoto.
