The Shin Seiki Evas got great pitching from former first round draft pick Lee Barraclough, allowing them to bump off the Palm Springs Codgers, 2-1. John Sharp earned the save, his 26th. The win gives Shin Seiki a season record of 53-38.
Ray O'Neal helped out the Shin Seiki cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"We put together a nice win," Barraclough said.
