Celestial Warriors Lose, 6-3, as Arsenal Rally
|
Troy Rush, who finished 5th in the TRI in wins with 13 last year, was locked in. The right-hander led the Kure Arsenal to a 6-3 win against the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors at Brown Bears Ballpark. Joo-young Paek earned the save, his 22nd, for the Arsenal. With the win, Kure goes to 51-62, while the Celestial Warriors fall to 44-69.
Kure used the timely hitting of Jody Jones to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Arsenal on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It feels good to get this one," Rush told the Kure Chronicle.
