Stewart Leads Suwon to 3-0 Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Suwon Morning Swords and the Gimpo Gorillas, pitcher Don Stewart was fantastic. The Suwon right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. Cahyono Ananas closed the door for Suwon, picking up his 13th save of the year. The first-place Morning Swords improved to 26-12.
It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Stewart, who tallied 8 strikeouts in 6 innings and allowed only 1 hit. Stewart, who is tied for 6th in the IBC with a 11.2 K/9 rate, raised his record to 3-3 on the year with 55 strikeouts.
"Big team win," Stewart said later.
