Ec Schools Daegu in 3-2 Busan Triumph
|
Zhi-qiang Ec was superb against Daegu. The left-hander, the 3rd overall pick in the 2042 draft, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Whales victory. The score was 3-2. Getting the save was Júlio Garza, his 5th. Busan raised its record to 20-17 with the win.
The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Ec. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Whales. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Dragons, striking out 10 and scattering 1 hit over 8 innings. Ec is now 4-3 on the season.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Busan manager Jared Craig.
