Led by 17-year-old Hi-yuan Chong, the Taitung HS Hermits knocked off the Port Lincoln HS Trawlers, 9-5. Chong went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks for the Hermits. Taitung HS pitcher Zhu Huang earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Josh Faulkner suffered the loss. The Hermits are now 21-12.

Taitung HS used a clutch at-bat from Zi-yang Shaw to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hermits ahead, 7-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Shaw.
