Hsinchu HS Offense MIA in 6-0 Loss
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
Eijisu Masters first baseman Eisaku Saito left his imprint on his team's 6-0 win over the Hsinchu HS Shock. Saito went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Osaka Toin HS in the contest. Naofumi Nakamura, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 3-1. Taheiji Sano earned the save, his 1st, for the Eijisu Masters.
With Osaka Toin HS leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Saito hit a fastball from Xin Chua for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Eijisu Masters ahead, 3-0.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Saito told the Osaka Toin HS Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
The win elevated the Eijisu Masters to 18-14.
