Grizzlies Take Tight Tilt
|
Meridian Park was the site of a tense game between the Billings West HS Lookouts and Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies.
David Adams, despite pitching a good game, was disappointed in the outcome: a tough, 3-2, defeat for the Billings West HS Lookouts at the hands of the Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies at Meridian Park. The win went to António De Fiesta in relief. His record improves to 1-0. David Adams took the loss.
Carlos Stanford had a big solo home run for the Grizzlies in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Rocky Mountain HS leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher David Adams and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Grizzlies on top, 3-1.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Stanford.
The loss lowers the Billings West HS record to 2-2.
