In a tension-filled contest between the Niihama-shi Ghosts and the Neo-Tokyo Akira, pitcher Connor Leith was superb. The Niihama-shi left-hander, who finished 4th in the SL in ERA with 2.95 in 2037, spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The third-place Ghosts improved to 91-61.

Leith earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Niihama-shi. The left-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. Neo-Tokyo hitters had little success against him.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Leith.
