Badgers Win at Home, 7-3
|
The Kalamazoo Badgers beat the Bakersfield Bears, 7-3. Kalamazoo pitcher and Columbia, Maryland, native Pat Condon led the way. Condon got the win, improving to 5-12. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The 5th-place Bears have dropped 4 straight games.
The Badgers got a big at-bat from first baseman Shu-de Mu. For the game, Mu was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Kalamazoo a 3-0 lead.
"Pat was in control from the top," said Kalamazoo manager José Guillén.
