Narrow Win Takes New Orleans Streak to 7
The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

Despite the exploits of first baseman John Pulsifer, the San Juan Coqui were beaten by the New Orleans Trendsetters, 7-6, in 10 innings. Pulsifer was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Esteban Benítez notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 4-1. Robert Haines earned the save for New Orleans, his 21st.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the tenth, with the game tied, Edward Derrick was at the plate when New Orleans scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Trendsetters to go in front, 7-6.

"Winning never gets old," said Trendsetters manager Alfredo Vega.

The 4th-place Trendsetters have won 7 straight games.
