Starting pitcher José Martínez took care of business, helping the Manchester Maulers stifle the Amsterdam Lions, 5-2. Picking up the save was four-time All-Star Earl Lucas. Manchester is now 66-85.

Chih-tui Hsu had a big run-scoring double for the Maulers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Manchester leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a forkball from former first round draft pick Dave Sherman and swatted a double to right. It was his 26th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Maulers ahead, 2-0.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Hsu.
