Aurora Borealis starter Toshimichi Ohayashi kept the Madison Malts hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. Ohayashi got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 8 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Toshikuni Kichida closed it out for his 3rd save.

Aurora used a clutch at-bat from Ángel Silva to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Borealis ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Toshimichi is a gamer," said Aurora manager Michel Provost.
