Busan pitcher Emílio Hernández had a large part in his team beating the Gimpo Gorillas, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jon Holliday picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. José Polanco suffered the loss. Busan now has a record of 4-1.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Busan. That's when 19-year old shortstop Tak-hing Sun hit a 2-run home run off José Polanco to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"The crowd lost its ever-loving mind tonight," said a grinning Hernández.
