Yamashita Shackles New Orleans in 2-1 Calzones of Laredo Win
The San Antonio Calzones of Laredo did just enough to sneak past the New Orleans Trendsetters, 2-1, at Elysian Fields. San Antonio pitcher Yuji Yamashita, in particular, had a standout performance. Picking up his 15th save was 31-year old left-handed pitcher Jonathan Andrews. Today's win puts San Antonio at 50-39, while New Orleans falls to 38-50.

Yamashita ran roughshod over the New Orleans lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. With the victory, he goes to 4-7 on the season.

"Yuji's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Danny Grimes, the Calzones of Laredo manager.
