Underground Rally For 4-2 Win
|
London took on Kentucky in front of a lively crowd.
The London Underground got a strong performance from pitcher Dave Robertson, who stymied the Kentucky offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Raceway Park. London reliever Jorge Ruíz got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Mike Travis was tagged with the loss.
Zak Osmond, who led the IL in triples with 11 in 2038, had a direct impact on the outcome. Osmond contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put London up, 4-2.
"That was a really good outing by Dave," said London manager Jorge Ornelas.
Today's win puts London at 44-43, while Kentucky falls to 37-51.
