The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of London fans at Pearson Metropolitan Park.

London starter Dave Robertson put a stranglehold on the West Virginia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Underground to a 3-1 win. Joe Carr notched his 1st save of the season.

Joseph Barry, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2038 draft, helped out the London cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk.

"Every loss hurts," said West Virginia manager Salvador González. "But this was a tough one."

The second-place Underground have a record of 80-67.
