The home crowd came to cheer on their first-place Kuwana Steel Dragons.

The Kuwana Steel Dragons topped the Taipei Wardens, 5-2, in Trinity action at Steelfire Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kuwana pitcher Gerard Scott. Lou Long locked down his 22nd save.

The Steel Dragons got a big at-bat from catcher Tony González. For the game, González went 1 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Kuwana a 3-1 lead.

"I believe in our guys," said Kuwana skipper Naosuke Horiuchi. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The Steel Dragons sit in first place in the Trinity with a record of 58-43.
