Kuwana Edges Edo, 4-3
|
Kuwana and Edo took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Edo designated hitter Leonard Inman had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Inman belted 2 home runs, even as Kuwana beat the Battousai, 4-3. Getting the save was Lou Long, his 20th.
Jim Kenkyusham Jr. had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the Steel Dragons. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Kuwana trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Kuwana manager Naosuke Horiuchi.
The first-place Steel Dragons now sit at 54-43.
