Taipei turned a good performance from starting pitcher Dani Montés into a 4-2 triumph over the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors in 14 innings at Brown Bears Ballpark. Taipei reliever Carlos Díaz picked up the win, while Álex Gallegos took the loss for Fushigi Yugi. The 4th-place Wardens improved to 37-40.

George Peterson came through with a big-time hit for Taipei. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 14th inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Dani kept his poise and got the job done," said Taipei manager Phil Anderson. "He was outstanding."
