Windsor Canada got a first-rate effort from pitcher Clint Saslove, who frustrated Aix-Marseille Universite hitters en route to a 2-1 Goths triumph at Goths Ballpark. The winner was Saslove. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Hervé Bigot. Keith Adkins earned save number 10 this season.

Making an impact for Windsor Canada was second baseman Louie Whitehead. Handyman drilled a run-scoring double off Hervé Bigot in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Whitehead went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk.

"Clint was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Windsor Canada manager Murray Harris.

The second-place Goths now sit at 15-13.
