Codgers Stumble, Lose to Wind Dancers
The Toyama Wind Dancers knocked off the Palm Springs Codgers, 9-2, at Castle of Cagliostro. Ryozo Kouyama was a big reason Toyama won. The second baseman was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Israel De La Cruz, the winner, is now 13-3. He struck out 3 and walked 2 over 7.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. The win elevated the Wind Dancers to 51-34.

Early in the game, catcher Kevin Newton had a 2-run home run for Toyama. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Wind Dancers on top, 2-0.
