Steel Dragons Win in Extras, 4-3
|
The fans at Steelfire Stadium witnessed quite a game.
The Kuwana Steel Dragons grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors in 11 innings at Steelfire Stadium. Kuwana designated hitter William Allen was 1 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The last-place Celestial Warriors dropped to 20-38.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Kuwana first baseman Barry Wallace, facing Ramiro Pérez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Steel Dragons the 4-3 win.
"That was high adrenalin and it was fun," Wallace said.
