Taipei starter Dani Montés pitched well against the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors at Brown Bears Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 10-3. Montés, now 4-3, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Taipei currently is in 5th place in the Trinity at 22-24.

Taipei used a well-timed hit by Zachary Martell to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Wardens ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Montés. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
