Jade Tigers Trounce Arsenal, 11-1
|
The Kure Arsenal and Gwangju Jade Tigers riveted fans at Gwangju World Cup Stadium.
The Gwangju Jade Tigers pinned a convincing loss on the Kure Arsenal, 11-1, at Gwangju World Cup Stadium. Matt Harris was a main factor in the win. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Gwangju. Juan Guerra earned the win. Okakura Kino took the loss for Kure.
The Jade Tigers got a big hit from third baseman Roberto Gallegos. Facing Kure pitcher Jim Rowe in the bottom of the eighth, Gallegos pounded a bases-clearing double to right. His 17th double of the season put the Jade Tigers ahead, 10-1.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Harris.
