Borealis C Qing 3-for-4 in Win
The Aurora Borealis and Neo-Tokyo Akira completed their game despite the rain.

Aurora catcher Lan-quing Qing contributed significantly to his team's 7-2 win over the Neo-Tokyo Akira. Qing, who is a two-time All-Leather Award winner, went 3 for 4 with 4 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Borealis. The winning pitcher was Toshimichi Ohayashi. He tossed 71 pitches over 5 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits.

There was more than one reason the Borealis beat the Akira, but Qing's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"It was a good win," said Aurora manager Michel Provost. "Not without blemish, but good."

Neo-Tokyo's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
