Mobile Christian HS Stumbles Again, Falls, 4-2, to Central HS
Spirited fans greeted the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs for their clash with the Central HS Wildcats.

Though he had a terrific game, Mario Pérez could not prevent his team, the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs, from absorbing a loss. Central HS won the game, 4-2. Pérez went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kelvin Martínez, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings.

Greg López dealt the Cheetahs a blow in the top of the eighth. Batting with the bases loaded and Central HS leading 3-2, López, who leads the EL in hits with 76, hit a 0-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Mathew Anderson. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."

Now 11-36, Mobile Christian HS has lost 13 in a row.
