Zephyrs Get Clutch Win Versus Neo-Tokyo
|
The Reno Zephyrs picked up a win at Washoe Field, knocking off the Neo-Tokyo Akira, 3-2, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Ramón Carlos played a key role in the triumph. Reno is 4th in the Sovereign League Desert Hills with a record of 44-38.
The Zephyrs got a clutch hit from third baseman Bill Johnson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Zephyrs.
"This place was rockin'," said Johnson.
