In a low-scoring tilt between the Edmonton Mall Ratz and the Brampton Camels, 23-year old left-handed pitcher Stephen Wood was the difference-maker. The Edmonton left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win in 11 innings. Zuhair Abbud earned the save for Edmonton. At 39-41, the Mall Ratz claim second place in the Pacific Alliance Wild Rose.

Edmonton used a timely hit from Gary Newell to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mall Ratz ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Mall Ratz manager Ramón Arroyo.
