Phantoms third baseman Juan Jose Ventura left his imprint on his team's 7-6 win over the Seoul Crushers. Ventura went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times for Toronto in the contest. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Walt Wright in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Martin Brown took the loss. Toronto is now 37-42, Seoul 45-34.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Ventura hit a slider from Martin Brown for a solo home run. The Phantoms, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Toronto manager Yvon Valcourt.
