Industrialists Turn Back Ikari, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring contest, Hamilton pitcher Francisco Camacho was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. In 7 innings, Camacho surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Charlie Bradford earned the save for Hamilton, his 1st.
The Industrialists got a big at-bat from center fielder José Cintrón. For the game, Cintrón was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 17th double of the season gave Hamilton a 3-1 lead.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Ikari manager Enrique Vázquez. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
The third-place Industrialists improved to 38-40.
