Ligers Rally to Win, 4-3
|
The Blanchard HS Ligers defeated the Winter Springs HS Bears, 4-3, in Eastern League action at Ligers Ballpark. Blanchard HS pitcher Alonso Kaiser had a standout performance. Blanchard HS reliever Don West was the winner. His record is now 2-0. David Smith took the loss. Blanchard HS currently is in first place in the Eastern League Deep South Conference at 25-19.
The Ligers got a clutch hit from center fielder John Hennessey. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Ligers.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Winter Springs HS manager Anthony Roy said, following the tough loss.
