Knights Claim Late Win
|
The West Lauderdale HS Knights and James River HS Rapids completed their game despite the rain.
Corey Lancaster helped his team muscle past the James River HS Rapids, 4-3. In the game, the West Lauderdale HS third baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 14th save of the year was Don Cole.
Lancaster had a timely hit for West Lauderdale HS in the top of the ninth. With West Lauderdale HS trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-2 curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season, making it 4-3, West Lauderdale HS.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Lancaster.
