Porpoises Saddle Daimyo with 6-2 Loss

The Yeosu HS Porpoises beat the Sendai Ikuei HS Daimyo, 6-2, at Yeosu Field. Yeosu HS first baseman Sung-heun Kwon had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. Myung-bak Yi earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The win makes Yeosu HS 15-8.
Michael Dalton had a big 2-run double for the Porpoises in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Yeosu HS trailing 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 16-year old left-handed pitcher Kiyotaka Hashimoto and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Porpoises ahead, 3-2.
"There's losing your stroke and finding your stroke," said Kwon. "I guess I've found mine."
