The Taitung HS Hermits defeated the Kanaashi Nougyou HS Red Dragons, 9-4, at Taitung Ballpark. See-tong Zong produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 1 run and driving in 1. Lai-hsiang Wang claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. Taitung HS, at 15-8, occupies first place in the Pacific Conference Pan Asia Division.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Zong delivered big-time for Taitung HS, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Kiminobu Matsumoto. The game-changing hit put the Hermits on top, 5-4.

"This was a nice win for us," said Zong. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
