Connor Leith, who finished 4th in the SL in ERA with 2.95 in 2037, had a strong outing for the Niihama-shi Ghosts against the Aurora Borealis at Northern Lights Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-2 win. Leith, now 6-3, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The win puts the Ghosts at 46-33, while the Borealis drop to 49-30.

Niihama-shi took the lead, 7-2, on Harold Stowe's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Aurora pitcher Toshikuni Kichida in the top of the eighth.
