Soggy conditions did not keep Kuwana and Fushigi Yugi from playing their scheduled game.

The Kuwana Steel Dragons picked up a win at Steelfire Stadium, downing the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors, 6-4. On the mound for Kuwana was right-hander Gerard Scott, who played a pivotal role in the win. The triumph makes Kuwana 17-12, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2042.

Tony González had a big 2-run double for the Steel Dragons in the bottom of the third inning. With Kuwana leading 3-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Rubén Águila, who leads the TRI in quality starts with 4, and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Steel Dragons ahead, 5-1.

"Gerard was cooking with gas," said Kuwana manager Naosuke Horiuchi.
