Though he had a terrific game, Jaques Breyner could not prevent his team, the Kuwana Steel Dragons, from absorbing a loss. Edo won the game, 6-3. Breyner went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Han-soo Kim got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. Larry Emerson wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
José Rivera hit a 2-run double off Hyo-cheong Pak in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Battousai in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Rivera had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We'll pocket this win," said Rivera, "and then go after another."
The win gives Edo a record of 14-8.
