Wildcats Win with Late Heroics
Central HS turned a good performance from starting pitcher Mark Whaley into a 3-2 triumph over the Cy-Fair HS Bobcats in 10 innings at Wildcats Ballpark. Floyd Neely was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-3. The losing pitcher was George McKay. The first-place Wildcats have won 4 in a row.

The Wildcats got a clutch hit from center fielder Alex Bates. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Wildcats.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Whaley said in his postgame press conference.
