Rafael Fernández pitched a gem to lead Katy HS to victory over the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs, 3-0. Edgar Flores finished the game for Katy HS and earned his 11th save. The Tigers, at 19-17, sit in 4th place in the Eastern League Deep South Conference.

Katy HS used the clutch hitting of Steven Burke to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tigers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

Burke attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
