Both offenses were feeble at Union City HS & Athletic Complex. Fortunately for the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs, though, Dave Alston delivered in the clutch. He went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, to help his team topple the Union City HS Hillers, 2-0. Glenn Reece, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 1. The win gives the Cheetahs a record of 10-22.

With Mobile Christian HS leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Alston hit a fastball from Josh Brown for a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Cheetahs ahead, 2-0.
