Losing Streak Continues for Oilers with 5-4 Loss to Remuda
|
Due in large part to right fielder José García, the Boise Remuda sunk the Long Beach Oilers, 5-4. García went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ryosei Kamimura earned his 2nd save in 3 chances. Boise has now won 3 straight, while the Oilers have lost 8 in a row.
García had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Shi-young Yo, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Remuda a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for García.
"Bad luck's the only luck we've had," said Long Beach manager Gerardo Vargas.
