Yub Issa, who finished 5th in the HUM in ERA with 2.59 in 2034, was locked in. The right-hander led the Sacramento Deltas to a 7-4 win against the Tacoma Loggers at Tacoma Stadium. Blaine Julien was credited with the save for Sacramento, his 26th of the season. The Deltas raised their record to 75-58.

Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Trent Lester to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Deltas ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Lester told the Sacramento Gazette.
