|
Victoria designated hitter Ethan Reid played a vital role in his team's 7-2 conquest of Sacramento. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Victoria. Anthony MacDonald got the win, improving to 9-7. He held the Deltas to 2 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Victoria is now 50-77, Sacramento 71-56.
There was more than one reason the Orcas beat the Deltas, but Reid's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
Reid called the win "a collective effort."
