Win Goes to Borealis in Tight Contest
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Aurora Borealis and the Kalamazoo Badgers, pitcher Armando Batista was the difference between victory and defeat. The Aurora left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Borealis win. Picking up the save was three-time All-Star Héctor Gutiérrez. Aurora has now won 5 in a row.
Aurora went up, 1-0, on Raúl Muñóz's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Muñóz hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kalamazoo pitcher Pat Condon shaking his head.
"It's good to win," Muñóz told the Aurora News. "I like to have fun doing it."
