Cheetahs Suffer 7-6 Road Loss
The DeSoto Central HS Panthers and Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs obliged fans looking for a good time.

The DeSoto Central HS Panthers picked up a win at DeSoto Central Grounds, knocking off the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs, 7-6. Starting pitcher Justin Smith was a big reason why. Arturo Radríguez sewed up the save, his 9th.

The Panthers got a big at-bat from first baseman Pepe Sifre. For the game, Sifre was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave DeSoto Central HS a 3-0 lead.

"Justin was able to execute his pitches," said DeSoto Central HS manager Gregg Rodgers. "Simple as that."

The loss makes Mobile Christian HS 8-18.
