Hinrichs Lifts Sailors to 8-2 Win
A 6-RBI performance from the 15-year old shortstop Drake Hinrichs helped the Sarasota HS Sailors beat the Bishop Moore HS Hornets, 8-2. Joe Sutton earned the win for Sarasota HS. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0. Sarasota HS raised its record to 17-9 with the win.

With Sarasota HS leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Hinrichs hit a sinker from Paul Edmondson for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Sailors ahead, 7-2.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Joe Reed.
