Alleghenies Get 14-Inning Win
The West Virginia Alleghenies beat the London Underground, 6-5, in 14 innings. West Virginia pitcher and Buenos Aires, Argentina, native José Flores led the way. West Virginia reliever Roberto Ruíz picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Masuhiro Abe was saddled with the loss. West Virginia now sports a record of 42-32.

West Virginia got a clutch hit from Mitsuhide Yamamoto. The second baseman launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Whatever it takes to win," said Yamamoto. "That's our attitude."
