Due in large part to third baseman John Ritter, the Cy-Fair HS Bobcats sunk the Annapolis HS Jaguars, 5-1. Ritter went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Cy-Fair HS pitcher Pete Gary got the win. He's now 1-0. Ken Parkinson was tagged with the loss. The Bobcats now have a record of 15-10.

Norm Norwood dealt the Jaguars a blow in the top of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Cy-Fair HS leading 1-0, Norwood, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in hits with 36, hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

Ritter told a Cy-Fair HS Times reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
